FAQs

  • What are some signs my roof has problems?

The most common question any roofing company gets, is the question about knowing when your roof has issues. Some signs are obvious, while other signs your roof has issues aren’t so obvious.

The most obvious signs of roofing issues could be:

    • Missing shingles

    • Water stains inside of the home

    • Exposed roof components that look out of place

However, there are also times where the issues aren’t as apparent such as rotting plywood or pipe collar cracks.

  • I might have a leak, now what?

Say you’re walking around your house and notice a few missing shingles or one day you happen to look up and notice your ceiling has a leak stain.

In most cases involving a roof leak, you have options. You might ask if a whole new roof is necessary, but the answer is: it depends.

Factors such as the age of your current roof and the scope of your roof leak will ultimately determine the next steps. The first step should always be getting the issue inspected by an honest and knowledgeable roofing company.

The damage on your roof that is causing the leak will then determine your next steps:

    • A simple roof repair

    • Calling your insurance to see if your roof qualifies for a replacement

    • A new roof

  • How do I know I can trust my Contractor?

Always verify the contractor you have chosen is legitimate. We know your home is one of your most important investments and you don’t want just anybody working on it.

Be sure to verify the following:

    • Is the Company Licensed?

    • Does the Company have appropriate insurance?

    • Are they certified with the Manufacturer? (We are GAF Certified)

    • Do they have references?

    • What is their warranty policy?

  • I need a new roof, but cannot afford it.

Most homeowners have a few choices when it comes to purchasing a new roof

    • Paying for your roof out of pocket

    • Going through insurance

    • Financing

If you are going the financing route, we have several different options that cater to any budget.

Ask one of our team professionals what your options are. We will be happy to assist you in any way we can, whatever your financial situation.

  • Does my new roof come with a warranty?

Fowler Construction Services offers a 5 year Labor Warranty on all our projects unless stated otherwise.

  • How long will my roofing project take?

It all depends on the size of your roof and the materials being installed. Larger or more complex roofs will take longer than a smaller, simpler roof.

Another factor are the materials being installed. While some materials are easier to come by, others might take a little more time to acquire, depending on the manufacturer and suppliers.

The weather might also affect the time frame of your project. We do our best to monitor the weather so there are no interruptions. In the event that your project is delayed due to the weather, our crew will make sure your roof is protected from the elements till they can finish the project.
